Daniel Taehun Lee received his PhD in Slavic Languages and Literatures from Northwestern University. Dr. Lee teaches language and literature courses in the Slavic Department.

Research Interests:

• Late and post-Soviet literature and culture; Russian nineteenth- and twentieth-century intellectual thought; Linguistic and cultural expressions of self and national identities in the context of Eurasianism
• Eastern religious and philosophical history, with emphasis on Zen Buddhism and Daoism
• Hybrid and blended language learning for in-person and remote students; Second language pedagogy, especially the Communicative Method and Comprehensible Input
